It was the summer of 2019 when I got a message from an old client. She had just changed her job and planned to start a new game-changing project. She was looking for a designer.
But I knew I wasn’t the right person for the job. However, I had someone in mind who was. I sent her a brief note, then a longer one.

Working on such a large-scale project relaunch was not easy. Firstly, because we are talking about a financial platform with strict legal obligations. Secondly, because it had a long history.

The existing UX was already good and user-centred long before it became trendy. The customers were fond of the design, which means, we had to work carefully and consider our customers’ expectations.

The faster I could receive answers from analytics, business, or development teams, the earlier we had results.
In most companies, requests like these take days.
But our product owner Maria and I found an easy and working solution. We sat near and chatted non-stop.
I received all the necessary information almost immediately, and the whole team had some visualization in 15 minutes.

We tested before the test. We double-checked every pixel. We asked non-digital departments to use the prototypes and clarified every unclear scenario with independent teams.
We checked everything a few times before the UX testing with real users. And we achieved the result.

I created some lasting solutions that I’m proud of. For example, the deposit terms in the right column and some parts of the credit/deposit graphs are still in use in the latest version of the bank’s software, even after years.
